hello,

I have been in corporate america for the past seven years and I am tried of it. I am tired of the office politics, bad managers, no room for advancement, extreme networking, etc. What are really my options? I have an IT background and I like to work with people. However, I am tired of working for companies that do not have good career advancement. What do you suggest? Should I start all over and enter another field? I am not really into law or medicine…However, I like to work with people or help people.

I live in Canada, so i’d prefer a school here, but i wouldn’t mind so much if the better school was in the U.S either. Another important thing, i can speak french, and im positive that could help me if i did some work in fashion in france. I love fashion, and i know how competitive it is out there.
But i’ll go to whatever lengths to do that. Im still pretty young, too young to even get an internship yet. But i know i want to have a career in fashion, designing, or styling. And i want to plan ahead.

Does it go back to the prohibition movement of the late 19th century and womans sufferage? Didn’t this emerge with the feminist? Why are the feminist so anti U.S. military?
The U.S. military is now offering the little liberated females good careers, so what is the problem?

Got me curios now seeing how much an education actually cost over there.

I personally come from a country where all levels of education is government funded (you’re even supported through university although its just enough to make it through rent/food/books etc) and it really just comes off as weird to me that you would hinder people from pursuing whatever career they wish based on their parents income, I mean would that extra tax really hurt that much?

How can I (an American) look into getting a nursing job abroad (Latin America, Europe, etc.) ?

deedee asked:

I am an experienced traveler who really would like to live abroad. I was a teacher in my previous career and am currently working on a nursing degree. I would like to work abroad, in the healthcare field, possibly with nongovernmental organizations, but am having a hard time finding any PAID employment–most are just volunteer opportunities. Does anyone know about nursing jobs abroad? I am nearly fluent in spanish and portuguese and would love to work somewhere that either of these languages are spoken—like Brasil!
I am also interested in longer term volunteer opportunities but would really love to make a big move and work abroad.
Oh, and also—does anyone know about Master’s degree programs in nursing or international health in foreign universities? I’d be interested in those too.
Thanks for any help!
